MUTE

“Mute” was one of my favorite short stories to draw. It is part of the issue 6 of the Shaving in the Dark Comics magazine, edited in Shanghai, China (see more here). The whole book's theme is focused on speechless illustrated stories, and i drew this following a very acute feeling i had waking up from a dream where my ears were bleeding. I also incorporated some elements of brotherhood / sisterhood and growing out of one's childhood, which i realised afterwards were uncounciously linked to both my two older sister getting pregnant. It is a story that i made with all my intuition, leaving language, rationale and reality behind to enter a dream of sound and silence.
