Under the wave, or preparing for the next one...
Can we come out now? or the hibernation lockdown that made us so much fatter.
Post-Covid people and how to deal with them.
When you're riding up your bike on a bridge (and strugglinggghhh) and cross someone else who's already on the other side of his curve, enjoying the ride down...
Even if we don't know how long it will take for countries other than China to get out of lockdown, it is interesting to see what exactly are the most difficult parts of it. I've worked from home before, but some of us struggle with the "no-end-date" of all this.
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind; the only answer is ...
keep planning, but stop counting!

New situations call for new missions, and here's mine!
If it's a health crisis, the response shall also be a healthy one.
Take care and take on your new mission ~
Yes, i did hoard a bit...
Indeed, i rushed to the art supplies store just before the lockdown here in NYC
to make sure i'd have something to wipe off all my
...ideas!
I wonder if there's any neurological evidence for this, but i do truly feel like there's only so much one can worry about.
There's also a correlation between how much effect the situation is on my life, vs. how much action i take.
A second correlation is also linked to surroundings. I was following the situation in China very closely since the start, but here in NYC, people started worrying wayyyy later than me, so seeing other people finally taking things seriously felt actually pretty reassuring.
I used to hate the mornin
Packed like sardines in a tin
Your armpit in my nose and
your high-heels on my toes
But now i got the rush hour blues
I’d ride that train right now, if only i could choose The rush hour blues
But instead i gotta feed on bad news

I used to see you daily
Hitting your unchanged route
9AM in 6PM out
and rarely a dollar for me
Oh, rush hour blues
Your change used to buy me booze
Yeah since you’ve gone home
I got them rush hour blues

You used to feed me breadcrumbs
From your sandwich or your pie
Now my pigeon’s stomach’s playin drums
I guess i’ll have to starve and die
Rush hour blues
City bird’s gotta feed on whatever the city chews
I got the rush hour blues
And it’s that virus I accuse
What really matters when you really need to be mobile
is not your flipflops and croptops...
but all your papers and various documents.
Not glamourous. But true.
Oh and side note, will you really miss the Backpacker species?... mmmh.
We all have different takes on this. Here's a funny, weird, dreamy (nightmare-y?) one:

My virus quarantine...
Damn, forced self-quarantine...
You bore me out of my mind
My looks are laughable,
unphotographable
Yet at least i am feeling fine
Is my figure less than bleak?
Is my breath a little weak?
When i open it to speak,
I put your mask on
But don't you go out for me
Not if you care for me
Stay in, it’s quarantine
Stay
To-day is valentine’s day.
